Spinecare of the Pacific is in internal medical facility specializing in restoring the function to your back and neck. The program is proactive. Rather than prolonged therapy with hot packs and ultrasound, we have developed a sports medicine approach similar to those used to treat injured athletes.

Restoring spine strength, flexibility, aerobic and muscular endurance are our goals. We teach you how to dynamically stabilize your spine to help prevent future problems. You'll learn proper body mechanics and lifting techniques and our office manager will guide you through the haze of insurance billing.

The Problem

Low back pain has been called the invisible problem. Your family, your friends and your employer can't see any problem; yet bending, twisting and lifting can cause excruciating pain.

Most physicians hesitate treating back pain patients because of the time consuming and complicated problems of measuring the back function, controlling the pain and dealing with frustrated patients, family and employers.

The Focus

Finally, spine function can be measured and evaluated much like an Electrocardiogram evaluates the heart. Computerized back machines can measure your strength, your back mobility and your back endurance.

Usually, as the functions of the back approach normal levels, the pain decreases. If you've had back pain for a prolonged period of time, you've been burdened with fear, anxiety and frustration, causing disillusionment with the medical system. Your haven't been "cured".

How can Spinecare of the Pacific help me?

Spinecare has designed its program to help you achieve personal goals that will allow you to return to many of the activities of daily life you've given up because of pain.

Your evaluation will be comprehensive and will include a history, physical exam and x-rays of your back if there are not current studies. Computerized machines that measure spine function will be used to evaluate your current status and demonstrate your potential for back health.

What will happen at my first appointment?

Before your examination, you will complete some forms that will help us understand your problems. Next your physical exam and history will be taken followed by review of current x-rays or MRI scans. If you have no current studies, x-rays may be taken.

How should I dress?

If possible, wear tennis shoes and shorts or sweat pants. Wear comfortable clothes. The first exam may take up to two hours.
